Collection: Spanish Pyrite from Navajún

From the Ampliación a Victoria Mine in Navajún, La Rioja, these pyrites grow as brass-gold cubes on a pale grey-white matrix. The crystal faces are flat and mirror-bright, with large and small cubes sitting side by side. Scattered blue-grey spots on the matrix set off the warm metallic gold.

Navajún is a world-famous locality for cubic pyrite, and every specimen carries its own arrangement of crystals.
